Institut Masa Depan Malaysia (MASA) research analyst, Mohd Noor Musa, today took part in a forum on Science, Technology and Society (STS): Beyond Boundaries – How STS Contributes to a Dynamic Job Market, held in conjunction with the International Conference on Science, Technology and Society (iCon-STS 2023).

Jointly organised by the Department of Science and Technology Studies and Centre for Civilisational Dialogue, Universiti Malaya, the forum also saw the participation of representatives from the government and industry to examine the crucial role of STS in resolving sustainability issues which have become more urgent and complex and the marketability of STS in today’s dynamic job market.

With the objectives to discuss crucial frameworks that STS could offer and how it could be revitalised to significantly promote sustainability transitions, including fostering social and environmental justice and promoting sustainable practises and innovations, the forum provides a unique opportunity for participants to share their insights, experiences and perspectives on harnessing the power of STS in fostering a more equitable and positive future for all.
